By providing the best training to customers and our own personnel, Navistar Defense is better able to support our vehicles over the entire lifecycle.
Whether we’re designing instructor lead courses, developing self-paced training for computer or video, or leveraging our commercial business to deliver training content more quickly, our goal is to provide the right individuals with the right skills and information to keep every Navistar Defense vehicle operationally ready.
Over the years, we’ve developed and delivered training based on various customer requirements:
- New Equipment Training in accordance with TRADOC 350-70 for the MRAP program
- Operator training in accordance with Canadian Military standards for the MilCOTS program
- Operator and Maintenance Training in accordance with JSP 822 for the UK TSV program
- Engine training for the Marines using our commercial format
Navistar Defense also trains our field service representatives to be the best in the industry. By starting with more qualified candidates, preparing them more thoroughly, and supporting them over time, we can be sure that out service representatives are uniquely qualified to maintain our fleets in the field.
All of our trainees have demonstrated their aptitude by obtaining an ASE certification. When they join our program, they receive four weeks of intensive, hands-on training that prepares them to perform all required fleet maintenance and repairs, and teaches them to facilitate New Equipment Training for military personnel.
Once deployed, our reps receive further hands-on instruction specific to the vehicles they service in the field. All field service reps are also required to maintain their skills with ongoing training on the latest systems.
